Renshi Poetry Exchange

Goals:

 Create a cultural understanding through Renshi (linked ) Poetry Exchange

 Foster friendships and relationships with writers in Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana

 Exchange weekly poems on focused themes according to curriculum to be published in a book by “Pacific Raven Press”

Future goals:

 Practice art of Slam Poetry

 Create and participate in 3 slam poetry events in Oakland

 Travel to Ghana in Summer of 2018 to participate in a poetry slam with our exchange partners
